What I liked about this book are three things
1.The setting: Post Napoleon Paris with catacombs;
2.The main character: a feminist before her time, an Aristocrat who survives the terror yet admires what Napoleon’s reign wrought– the right to ask scientific questions, a geologist, and a thief;
3.The heist.

I forgot to provide a link to information on the quarries and catacombs underneath Paris, which are a major feature of the book. Here is a website on the history and geology of the quarries.
